Recently I have purchased 2 Murray River Short Necked Turtles who have settled in nicely into the tank. Here is list of all the things you need to buy if you want a turtle-

I bought my tank second hand, it came with a pump/filter, air pump, light tube housing, stand gravel and ornaments for about $100 from the trading post/weekend shopper.

For food I bought Hikari Cichlid Gold and Sera Raffy P.

I also bought some fish, 25 Feeder Fish, 5 Crayfish and 1 Catfish to start the eco process.

The license cost $60.50 and I got a 50 Page record book for $17 YOU MUST HAVE A RECORD BOOK AND LICENSE TO BUY YOUR TURTLES!!!!

I bought my turtles from a wholesaler who sold them to me for $40.

They are really fun and enjoyable pets. I take my out into the backyard so they can have a run around every once and a while BUT STAY WITH THEM AT ALL TIMES THEY ARE FAST AND BIRDS WILL TRY TO EAT THEM!!
